KindnessCrewCalgary Society Christmas Campaign benefitting the Calgary Drop In and Rehab

April 2015 I realized that I wanted to make a change in the world.  I wanted people I came into contact with to leave better off than they were before I met them.  Through a series of unkind events, I knew that kindness was going to help heal me and help heal others.  I was guided by my Divine team (God, angels, guides)  to create a non-profit charity.  That charity is "KindnessCrewCalgary Society".  We are registered by the Alberta government.  Members of the board are me, Paulo Melo Sr. Pina Giuliano, Stacey Anderson, and Lynn Kriekle with help from my son Paulo Melo jr and many ambassadors.  I love and appreciate the help of these people so much. Soon after receiving our official incorporation papers from the government, I saw a post on facebook about "blessing bags."  I knew that was what we could do that would so help our homeless.  So our team put out the call for donations.  These were the bags we created!

We created a needs list.  Shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, deodorant, lotion, pads, toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, comb, brush, tissues, chapstick, granola bars, slippers, nail care items, breathmints, scarf, mitts, gloves, toques, bras, blankets, towels.  We received so much love in an abundance of items.  With the help of many kindness ambassadors we assembled our first 60 blessing bags.

When we dropped them off, they were very well received.  We felt good.  It feels so wonderful to donate.  Kindness is a warm hello and a gesture of love.  Kindness isn't just something to do once inawhile.. it is a way of life.  It is a way of being and not just when someone is watching, but especially when they are not.

Last Christmas we donated over 150 blessing bags and blankets and towels.
This year we donated over 50 blessing bags, 530 pair of socks, and many other items such as bras, feminine hygiene, blankets, towels, and other hygiene items.
