YOGA for wellness, stress relief, healing and moving the body

In 2014 I had gone to a healing retreat in Sedona with my mentor SDJ and she has a yoga instructor(Robin) as part of her team.  Robin is an earth angel who lovingly supported my modifications and allowed me to feel comfortable in my body.  I had always hated this body.  It was time to love it and move it gently.  Yoga was the prescription from the Divine and I was listening. 

In the summer of 2018 I was guided to create a yoga routine.  Yoga is helping me heal my life. I had gone to a community healing centre to relax and felt guided to try a class.
The teacher was an earth angel. Actually two were earth angels.  I fell in love and have been doing yoga regularly for over a year and a half.  I want to publicly thank Lisa and Rachel for supporting my yoga practice.

The angels guide us to yoga as it enhances our life.  Moving energy is vitally important to wellness, mind, body and spirit.  They remind us that we get clear messages and guidance from our Divine team when we create a yoga practice.  Being active is a key to health and healing and I am healing my life on my mat!  If you are like me, someone who had been sedentary her whole life, yoga will help you!  Yoga is for EVERY body.  The angels remind me to share how yoga will help you strengthen your mind, body and spirit.  You will also have more energy to do the things you love.  You can invite in Archangel Raphael to help you.

Here is a prayer for him:  Dear Archangel Raphael, please help me by motivating and guiding me to do my yoga practice or please help me by guiding me to an exercise program I will love.  Thank you and so it is.

Here are some photos that I want to share to show you that yoga isn't just for skinny people.  It is a practice that is very effective and for every BODY type.

I can't say enough good things about yoga.  I feel better physically and although there is pain at times the benefits of yoga are numerous.  My body is responding and I now love myself to health!  Try it.

Exercise and moving the body

I have made an intention to move my body more in 2017.  I actually have been moving it more and more in gentle ways.  This body of mine resists it though. It is an interesting process.  Being in medical menopause, since the hysterectomy that rid my body of the cancer in 2011, I have had an interesting journey.  The body is such an important part of my mind, body, spirit wellness.  I feel better after I have done some exercise.  I love to walk.  
These are some of the best reasons to exercise. 
  1. getting your heart rate up gets the blood pumping and is good for your health.
  2. it boosts positive endorphins, those feel good hormones that helps keep us happy.
  3. it helps your brain and memory retention and helps decrease your risk of dementia.
  4. it helps give you a second wind or burst of added energy.
  5. it helps us sleep better by increasing HCG or human growth hormone which is linked to sleep.
  6. it has been studied that it can add years to your life.  It can help decrease heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, and lowers cholesterol.
You see, I have many reasons to GET ACTIVE.  I daily run up and down my stairs, I walk outside as often as I can, and at least once a week I do weights for my arms.  It's a start.  I can't wait to get healthier.  When I look at where I was 5 years ago and where I am today, I am proud of my progress. I know it is progress and not perfection.  I know and recognize I am not able to do what others can, but I love myself enough to just move this beautiful container God gave me.  It houses my soul and I know if I don't take good care of it, where would my soul live?
I am so happy and grateful for the second chance at life.  I love myself.  Even at this weight.  I am valuable and I am worthy!! and so are you.
