Prayer for healing and hope

Almighty God, 
we give You the ultimate thanks,
for You are the Creator of all life, goodness and peace.
We praise You for the world You have 
made us to live in and enjoy
as we are your children that you love so much.

Loving God, help us to be faithful servants of Healing and Hope.
Grant us the awareness of the healing needs of those around us
and the compassion to respond willingly to those needs.
how may I be of service today dear Father? Guide my steps to be those
that are pleasing to you and you alone.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Our Healer and the Source of all Hope.
May the light and love and the healing be ours.

Amen.

The miracle of Lourdes.
It all begain in 1858, at a grotto near a village in southwest France.  Mary appeared 18 times to a young woman named  Bernadette Soubirous, announcing, "I am the Immaculate Conception."  Mary helped Bernadette discover a hidden spring in the grotto.  That spring was soon to become a fountain of faith, hope and healing for millions of pilgrims who visit there each year.

Lourdes truly is a place of healing.  The church recognizes 69 miraculous cures there, and thousands more have been reported.  And for many others, Lourdes is the place where they have found peace in coming to understand and accept God's will for them.
